Travel spending has risen in New York State by more than $287 million, and almost 8000 new jobs have been created since the inception of the "I Love NY" campaign spearheaded by Dann H. Lewis.
Deputy Commissioner and Tourism Director of Development Dann Lewis also announced that 4400 full time jobs were created in New York City alone. New York City visitors spent $152 million more than they did in the same time period in 1977.
The budget for the program has risen from $400,000 to nearly $12 million since its launch. |
